Although I am not a beauty guru, I do love make-up & beauty. To me it’s a big part of my personal style along with the wardrobe I wear and the perfume I put on — it all adds up to what people see on the outside. Just like everything else in my life, I’ve curated the items on this list by trying out many different products. The products below are my winners so far!
However, I’m always open to try out new items and see how they match with the rest. If you want to try out some of the items on this list, keep in mind that I have fair skin, an oily t-zone and love muted colors instead of warm. The products might look and work differently for your skin type and color.
MY DAILY MAKE-UP ROUTINE
When it comes to make-up I like a good base that’s my skin but better and smoother. I love a natural glow to the face and earthy tones when it comes to eyeshadow. I know, groundbreaking! The reason is mostly because I don’t really need anything full coverage. On a bad skin day I might have one or two spots so why suffocate my face with full coverage make-up? I also hate the feeling of having make-up on so lighter formulas are my preferred choice.
Just like my wardrobe, I like to curate my make-up stash with items I actually use and love. That’s why I go for more high end products — mixed with budget proof ones! — that I really love and know that work with my skin.
My daily make-up routine base:
CHARLOTTE TILBURY WONDER GLOW SERUM*: The one serum I use as the first step in my make-up base. I have found that this serum blends the best with my Light Wonder foundation. Which also stays on longer and without any pilling or settling in dry patches thanks to the serum.
CHARLOTTE TILBURY LIGHT WONDER IN 2 FAIR*: The one foundation I have been using for the last two years that 1) matches my skin tone and 2) doesn’t pill or settle into dry patches. It’s not heavy or full coverage but it does smooth out your skin and makes it even.
NARS SOFT MATTE CONCEALER IN VANILLA (LIGHT 2)*: Another product I don’t see myself getting rid of in my daily make-up routine is this concealer. It makes a huge difference when applied under my eyes. I can instantly see the brightening effect it gives. Don’t let the ‘matte’ in the name fool you; it’s definitely a creamy, moisturizing concealer but with a matte sheen to it.
ETOS CONTOUR POWDER IN LIGHT/MEDIUM: This is a Dutch product and does the job. I use this to accentuate my cheekbones and underneath my jawline.
TOO FACED MILK CHOCOLATE SOLEIL BRONZER*: The perfect bronzer for my fair complexion. I use this one on the cheekbones, forehead, ears and neck to give warmth to my face.
DIOR DIORSKIN NUDE AIR LUMINIZER IN 002*: If I do use a highlighter, this is the one I go for. It’s a subtle, frosty glow with a pink sheen. I also use it as an inner corner highlighter.
CHARLOTTE TILBURY CHEEK TO CHIC IN PILLOW TALK*: One of my latest make-up additions that has become my go-to blush is the Cheek to Chic blush in Pillow Talk. I mix the two colors together to give my cheek a rosy glow.
My eyeshadow products & more:
NYX PROFESSIONAL MAKEUP ‘PROOF IT!’ EYESHADOW PRIMER*: If I want my eyeshadow to stay in place, I can’t skip this eyeshadow primer. I won’t hold up otherwise with my oily eyelids. This primer is affordable and does a great job without any creasing.
ZOEVA NUDE SPECTRUM EYESHADOW PALETTE*: The first eyeshadow palette I actually use on a daily basis. Last year I was looking for a daily eyeshadow palette with nude tones and found this one. I love the color range in the palette — from ashy nude tones to warm, red shades. For a day look I mostly use the ashier shades and for a nighttime look I like to use the copper and red shades. A versatile base palette if you’re looking for something you can use every day.
LANCÔME MONSIEUR BIG WATERPROOF IN BLACK*: I got this mascara pure out of curiosity to see if it wouldn’t stain on my oily eyelids. I can’t say it’s fully smudge proof — it isn’t on me — but if your eyelids are more on the dry side this is a great waterproof mascara. I’ll finish up the tube that I have and probably move back to the L’Oreal Paris Sculpted Waterproof mascara. That one does the same job but for less money.
ANASTASIA BEVERLY HILLS BROW WIZ IN MEDIUM BROWN*: The one item on the list I have a love/hate relationship with. On the one hand it’s the best brow pencil formula I’ve tried. The NYX micro brow pencil is a good dupe — I used to get Ash Brown — but the formula does not compete with the Anastasia brow wiz. However, the packaging is terrible. The spoolie side always breaks. For the money you spend on it you would expect it not to fall apart. However, I keep coming back to this is one purely for the formula.
The finishing touches:
MAC STUDIO FIX POWDER IN NW20*: I like to use this foundation powder to set my make-up. I’ve had no problems with it and it doesn’t cake up my makeup. A solid powder to set your make-up with.
URBAN DECAY ALL NIGHTER SPRAY*: The holy grail of finishing sprays that I use at the end of my make-up routine to set everything. I’ve used this one for my day make-up but also before a night out dancing and the make-up always stays into place.
5 minute make-up look
If I’m having a quick make-up day I only use the NARS soft matte concealer, Too Faced Pink Leopard bronzer blush, my brow wiz and the MAC Studio Fix foundation powder. I usually do this when I don’t have to shoot content, have no meetings or I am just working from home.

WHAT I WANT TO ADD
And just like with my curated wardrobe, I’m always on the hunt to add more items to my daily make-up stash. I usually find recommendations through friends and YouTube but before I even purchase I will do a deep dive into the products. I usually also Google ‘the product fair skin’ so I can kind of see how it will work with my skin type.
On my daily make-up routine wish list are:
NARS SKIN DEEP EYESHADOW PALETTE*: This palette seems like the right palette for me. Lots of earthy tones with pinks. And the most used shades are in bigger pans. I’m already seeing in my Zoeva palette that my most used base colors are running out. This set-up seems like something that would match my needs more.
CHARLOTTE TILBURY HOLLYWOOD FILTER IN 2 LIGHT*: I had a sample of this product when I picked up a new Light Wonder. As I tried it, I loved how it looks mixed in with the Light Wonder. Where other cheaper versions of this product are more glittery. This one gives your base a healthy summer glow.
CHARLOTTE TILBURY HOLLYWOOD CONTOUR & HIGHLIGHTER DUO*: I never have had liquid bronzer and highlighter in my stash but I am willing to try. These products look like a great way to step into it for summer. I also love that it has small packaging and seems easy to apply.
CHARLOTTE TILBURY LIP CHEAT IN PILLOW TALK*: Another Charlotte Tilbury product I want to get my hands on. This is the classic OG product everyone always raves about so I’m curious to see what the hype is about.
BECCA UNDER EYE BRIGHTENING CORRECTOR*: I can always use more products to cancel out any dark circles and imperfections around the eye area. I guess it’s the self-employment curse. This looks like a product that would compliment the rest of my base.
ZOEVA LUXE PETIT CREASE BRUSH IN ROSE GOLD*: Not only do I have oily eyelids, I also have hooded eyelids. Normally I use one of my Real Technique brushes to apply eyeshadow in my crease but I’ve noticed that the brushes are too big. This brush seems like the best solution to my hooded eye problem.
