Since we officially entered spring I figured I might share what I want to add to my curated spring wardrobe this season. It’s all about making the right choices with items that will last me (hopefully) a lifetime. I’m obviously not getting all the items I’ve listed in this post. I mostly collect all the items I’m interested in on Pinterest — I talk more about it in this post about creating your own Curated Wardrobe — and try them out in real life to make the best decision. I like to think through my options. Below you can read what I want to get for my curated spring wardrobe (or am thinking about).
So I’m late to the party but I still want to add a checked blazer to my wardrobe. It’s the one type of print I don’t have in my — out of hand — blazer collection. I want something with a light print that I can easily wear with light denim shorts, a tee and sneakers.
I scoured the internet for the best options for me and you. First up is a budget friendly option. It’s this NastyGal check blazer in light grey* with blue undertones and a light pink stripe. It’s the perfect length and a great way to test the waters if you’re not a blazer person just yet. Another great option is this & Other Stories Tapered Blazer*. It’s a darker grey with a brown and burned orange stripe running through the check. I haven’t seen it in stores yet but overall I love the fit of & Other Stories blazers. The next one is the Anine Bing Madeline blazer* in light grey. The check has a red stripe running through the check that gives it a little pop of color to your whole look.

One of my favorite all year round items to wear is a mini dress. From time to time I dabble into midi or maxi dresses but I feel like a mini dress fits me the best. For my spring wardrobe I want to get a cute dress with ruffles. Last year I got one from Free People but unfortunately the embroidery is letting loose. I’m trying to find an option that will hold up a little better.
The first dress that was on my radar — for more than a year right now I think — is the Fame and Partners The Kye Dress* with star print. I mainly haven’t clicked this one home because I can’t justify the price at the moment and maybe also because I already have 4 other star print dress. However, it’s still a stunning dress that I think will be great for an evening out or causal day wear with a denim jacket.
Another more mid budget option is the black LOVESHACKFANCY Natasha Dress*. Super cute, short and the fabrics is perfect for the warmer weather. If you want a more budget friendly mini dress, go check out ASOS. They’ve got a big selection of cute mini dresses for spring/summer. My favorite is this ASOS mini sundress with polka dots*. Pair it with platform Vans and a light jacket for an easy spring look.
RED HEELED BOOTS
I don’t know where this obsession began but ever since I had a dream about red heeled boots I can’t stop thinking about it. Usually I can trace it back to my Instagram or Pinterest likes but I have not liked anything like it — so maybe it’s a fashion vision? Anyway, I really want to add red kitten heeled boots to my curated spring wardrobe like my Zara heeled boots.

Springtime also seems like the perfect time to wear a pair of palazzo trousers. You can cover your legs but still have the breathing room for when it gets warmer. The silhouette of the palazzo trouser is chic and you can pair it with many different items. Plus you can easily wear it to work. It’s the chiquer version of the cotton drawstring trouser, which I’ve never got.
There are two options I’m eyeing for spring by ZARA. One is a more structured black palazzo trousers and I’ve got my eye on a black satin pair. Another pair that I found pretty cool — but maybe not that appropriate for the warmer weather — is this Boohoo wide legged trousers* via Asos. I love the belt and tortoise buckle that comes with it. Another great option are these paper bag trousers* from H&M. They’re a little more straight legged but still wide enough to feel comfortable in them.

The first footwear I want to get for my curated spring wardrobe is a pair of dressy slides that look stylish but are also comfortable. Last year I got new ASOS sandals with studs that I will be wearing this year as well ubut I still want a pair of slides to alternate with.
My eye has fallen on these ZARA leather croc flat slides in black that look a little Saint Laurent esque. Just a basic pair I can wear with everything in my wardrobe. Second option are these H&M pointy slides* in brown python print. A little more out there but I think they would look amazing with light denim or grey jeans and an oversized blouse or tee. Gives just that little bit of chicness I try to incorporate in every outfit. Last option are these Steven Lauryn point toe slides* in this purple grey color. Just a stunning pair if you want to go for a pair of leather slides.
OVERSIZED GRAPHIC T-SHIRT
This season I also want to get more oversized graphic t-shirts. I not only wear them in spring so they’re usually a good item to get for my wardrobe. I’ve got the one I’m wearing in this post a couple of years ago and it’s still my go to staple t-shirt.
I only got my eye on two t-shirts this season. The first being the IRO Paris Duoro t-shirt* with dark leopard print. It kind of reminds me of my & Other Stories tee, another one I love wearing. Another tee I like is the Anine Bing vintage Bing tee* with an eagle print. If you want something more on budget, check out & Other Stories because they usually have good options in stock.

Last item on the list are again a pair of shoes, platform sneakers. I’ve actually be eyeing them since last year but never took the plunge. This season I want to get a pair of Vans Old Skool platform sneakers*. So why do I want them when I already got the non-platform pair? Because they look great with spring mini dresses. They’re also my most worn sneakers at the moment. If you don’t like low top sneakers, then the Vans Sk8-Hi platform sneakers* are a great option. I personally also love the high tops with leopard pony hair*.
Another brand that I love that has platform sneakers is Superga. The Superga 2790 platform sneakers* are the same as mine but with a platform. They’re perfect if you’re looking for a light, white sneaker for the warmer months.
